GAEP
OTP CRIMPER
The OTP design is a unique rotational crimper that is designed to create a round rim roll turn. This is the traditional roll turn over that so many handloaders only hope to achieve in their loading process. The GAEP design produces a beautiful factory-style finish. It is best utilized with other GAEP products to achieve a distinctly professional crimp appearance.

Italian Excellence in Shotgun Sports: High-Quality Shotgun Shell Reloading Tools and Equipment
Discover the tradition of Italian craftsmanship in the world of shotgun sports. From shotguns and tube-shells to domestic hand reloading and international shooting contests, Italy is renowned for its precision and excellence. A skilled mechanical engineer, combining years of professional expertise with a passion for hunting, has designed and crafted innovative tools for shotshell loading. These include advanced crimp steel round-edge devices and steel star crimping tools, representing the perfect blend of modern technology and traditional ingenuity.
Why Choose Steel Over Bronze or Brass Roll Crimps for Reloading?
When it comes to shotgun shell reloading, choosing the right roll crimp is crucial. Our recommendation is to opt for a steel roll crimp, rather than a bronze or brass version. Steel roll crimps are crafted with higher precision, using superior workmanship, unlike their counterparts made through press-fusion, which tend to lack the same level of accuracy. While steel roll crimps come at a higher price, they deliver exceptional results—producing a superior crimp, even better than the original cartridges from top global manufacturers. Additionally, a professional steel roll crimp will last for many years, offering long-term value and reliability.
Professional Steel Star Crimp for Perfect Cartridge Closures
Similarly, when choosing a professional steel star crimp, we recommend opting for steel versions made through precision workmanship, not fusion processes. These steel star crimp tools are specifically designed for creating flawless star-shaped closures on shotgun shells before the final crimping stage. They are not suitable for round-edge closures but are ideal for achieving a high-quality star closure that enhances your reloads' consistency and performance.
The Italian Advantage: Steel Roll Crimp vs. American Reloaders
One key difference between our Italian-made steel roll crimps and American counterparts is the method of closure. While American reloading presses typically use "pressure" to close the cartridge, our Italian professional steel roll crimp uses a "rotational" technique. This rotational method ensures a more precise and consistent crimp, providing superior performance and durability.
